About us

Cherished Kids OT is a mobile Occupational Therapy service based in the Adelaide Hills. Founded by Ann Underwood, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who has over 25 years experience working with children and young people with Autism, Developmental Delays, Physical Disability, Brain Injury, Neurological Conditions, Intellectual Disability and Behavioral Difficulties.

We provide a mobile service including home visiting, school and kindergarten visits. Our aim is to support children and young people and their families. We work with their interests and strengths to help each young person reach their potential.

Individual Therapy can be provided at home, school or kindergarten
 

Services

Cherished Kids OT assists children and young people to develop skills in:

  • attention and concentration
  • play and social interaction
  • emotional regulation
  • self care – eating, dressing & toileting
  • executive functioning – planning & organisation
  • community skills
  • co-ordination – including fine & gross motor skills & handwriting
  • sleep
Services can be provided in Stirling, Aldgate, Bridgewater, Mylor, Scott Creek, Crafers, Mount Barker, Nairne, Littlehampton and surrounds
 

  • Services are available for children and young people with NDIS plans who are plan managed or self managed
  • Some children may be eligible for medicare rebates
  • Functional Capacity Assessments to assist with planning for services and NDIS plans can be provided in a timely manner
